MOP Offers To Help With Mississippi Oil Spill Clean-up

MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. made a phone call to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality this morning. Our offer was to send a pallet of MOP to see if it could help with the clean-up process. Unfortunately, the agency informed us that they are not allowed to take solicitations. In other words, any offer of this kind would have to go through whatever company is contracting to do the clean-up itself. We asked the DEQ if they would be able to give us the information on the company who would clean up the spill, and they were unable to accommodate us.

MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. is not a spill response company. We offer products to assist with spill response. We are doing the best we can in order to get our product in the hands of the right people to assist with the clean-up effort on the Mississippi. MOP is still willing to go ahead with this offer. If the clean-up company will accept a pallet of our product it will clearly show how quickly and effectively MOP works to clean up real-world oil spills. If anyone has information on the company assisting with this clean-up, please contact us with the information ASAP.

It looks like the Barge company that was involved in the Mississippi River oil spil is taking responsibility for the clean up. The name of the company is American Commercial Lines Inc. See this CNN link for more information: link.http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/07/24/mississippi.spill/
